Heya! How ya been!? I was thinking of pm-ing you to see what was going on but didn't know if it would seem pushy. Hope to see you back soon. A lot of folks at GKA really are helpful but you kinda have to make first contact. None of them really came up and started talking to me until I started asking questions, and also helps showing up for the tu/th classes(but you need to be in bogu for those classes and Arai sensei's permission.)
haha well I just wasn't up for practice. It's been a rough week so decided to stay home and chill. How was class?
ahh thanks. :P pretty soon i'll be showing the senseis how to do it eh?
Happy birthday!!
haha go for it! Seriously though keep an eye on the ebogu site, they have the occasional 10-15% off specials. Right now they have a 6mm set for just under $300 which they didn't have available when i started or I would have gone that route. Some people tell you to buy the best you can afford but I think that at our level, we're not going to be able to tell the difference in quality and we won't know enough to really know what our preferences will be until we have some experience. But I think, like your first car, you should stay cheap and get the beater set. Victor can probably give you more specific advice.
My pleasure. Welcome to Kendo World!
