dude I lost today to a nito guy I beat 3x in the past with chudan vs chudan. I guess he's been training nito for a year. my friend didn tshow up to record my match

2-1: him katate gyaku do as i went for katate men. Me seme-men Katate Kote on daito arm as he began to move forward. him Katate men as I went for Katate kote after seme men--thought i hit the kote first but I guess not. lol one of the judges watching said katate men always beat katate kote. another person watching said he kept his shoto in a block position over his head long periods of time cause he wa afraid of my seme katate men so i could have popped his shoto kote...I didnt know I could score on the shoto kote

oh well I wish I could fight more chudan fighters. I haven't fought chudan in shiai in almost a year lol

Hello Rainmaker, I posted about looking for a Dojo for Kendo in Pinellas County, I'm going to try to make it thursday Night, Just to see whats its about. I was hoping to find something a bit closer, but this seem to be it. what is the average age group that attend?

  9. Hi Matt, tell him to call me at my cel. 813-957-5502. We practice at University of South Florida. We have Maeda sensei, 7th dan, come to our place once a week to teach. Unfortunately, it is holiday for the month of August so we cannot practice in August. But please ask him to call me. Regards, Sungmin

    Hey!!!

I have a buddy in Tampa who's looking to begin practicing kendo. I've been training for about 4 years (trained with Ignatz till he passed) and my friend Brian has been asking about how to begin training.

Well we've tried the Gulf Coast website and all of the email links are not working, so I figured I'd give you a buzz. Are you guys still training? Have you got any advice for me to give to my buddy in looking for a Dojo in Tampa?? Thanks for your help!
