Hi there. The condition in Bangkok at this point is not workable considering the closure of the airports. Mobility in certain areas are closed off due to protests. However, saying that most touristy places are still good to go. If you like me are already here and not in a rush to go home soon, it's ok. If you're moving between countries, unfortunately you're stuffed. I would expect that things would be improving mid-end December. If you plan to go as expected in January, things should be good and hopefully things generally cheaper as the government tries to attract would be travellers. FYI Bangkok does have it's share of kendo clubs, but getting there is difficult. A local here gets to train 6x a week.
