    nothing wrong with brown, its a man's colour. (goes nice with pinstripe brown hakama). I prefer the Kyoto blue for gi. Note the black thing is a post war idea. dye etc was in short supply but people had a lot of blackout curtains/material which were converted into clothing, I am surprised this has stuck...

    there is a nice antique shop in Sannomiya (depends where in Kyoto you are based) if you take bagloads of cash, he collects tsuba.
