im not sure if this has already been answered; it's probably near the Dojo. I live in makati city and travel time to the Dojo costs around 15-20 minutes.

Thanks Kamua. I was kinda hoping someone will say otherwise but apparently it's still the same. Too bad for us huh? Anyway, are you a kendoka by any chance?

Oh well...actually, I'm not a kendoka...yet...can't find the right opportunity to join, but I have visited MKC last December, I even watched the tournament, it was cool! I'm an arnisador however, and I really love swords and sword arts! I would like to learn Haidong Gumdo as well, but the gym in Makati closed down for some reason...

I hope you do join us eventually. I have a cousin who's into arnis (which I really like to learn too) and he's been asking me if it's possible for a kendoka and an arnisador to spar. I thought, that would be interesting to see. Anyway, hope to see you in the dojo soon!

It would be interesting to see! Haven't tried it yet myself, but I think a kendoka would have an advantage due to the longer weapon. I, however, tried fooling around with a friend who has a bokuto/bokken (but doesn't really do kendo), and I found it kinda difficult to attack. although it was easier to defend and counter, especially when I used double sticks.

Hmm...that's quite far from where I live! I'm from Paranaque. I'll try to ask around, but there are some instructors that do home service, I'll just give you my instructor's number, he was the fight director of Etheria (GMA 7): 0921-4491499/8310224. His name is Garitony "Pet" Nicolas.

Oops, one more thing, maybe I could try using a bankaw (staff)! Maybe I could join you guys next year, after I take the bar exams this September (hopefully)! I do have classes at the same time as your training sked (Saturday, 1-7), but I'll pass by again if ever my class gets suspended or something! Keep up the good work guys!
