No practice yesterday (Sat, 03 Oct 2009) and likewise no Wednesday practice (07 Oct 2009). FYI.

May I just ask if anyone here has experienced ordering equipment from onlinekendo thru the EMS mail service? I am planning to order my bogu soon and I would just like to ask if there are any additional fees besides shipping. Thanks.

I haven't ordered from that site yet but based on my experience from ordering at kendoshop.com, the total cost will be estimated including shipping fees once you checkout from the site. As for additional fees, there is a chance that customs will charge you for something but if you're lucky they might not charge you.

Me and my batch mate ordered the exact same bogu model and both were shipped thru TNT. When mine was delivered, the delivery guy only asked me to sign some papers then he left and I was never charged for anything so I only payed what was estimated from the site.

But my batch mate told me that he was asked to pay for some extra fee from customs, I forgot how much the extra fee was but I think it was around 2000PHP.

    Hello,

My name is Justin and I am planning to register for the January 2010 beginners class.
I will try to pass by the club venue this month.

Who is the instructor or the person in charge. It would be good for me to make proper introductions.

    Cheers,

    Justin

hi justin, you can approach the lady sitting near the entrance to the dojo (basketball court). you can address her as mrs. yukita. she will most probably refer you to the president of the club, mr. yukita. you can then ask mr. yukita the details re joining the club. good luck and hope to see you soon!

p.s.: you probably know this already as it has been mentioned several times in this thread: practice is on saturdays from 5-7 pm (except the last saturday of the month, which starts at 4 pm). i suggest you pass by this coming saturday or next saturday after that since we'll be having shiais for the coming two saturdays.

    Hello,

I'm 12 years old, female, new to this forum and interested in learning kendo. I just have a few questions to ask. Where exactly is the MKC? The MKC links I've found are inaccessible. When is the best time to pass by the club? I'm thinking of joining the January 2010 beginners batch. How much are the fees? I've heard that there is a registration fee of around P 2,000 and a monthly fee of around P 700. You also have to buy your equipment separately. Do you have to buy the bogu immediately?

    Thank you very much.

    Dear Male73,

Thank you for the referral. I will make my way and try to look for Mrs. Yukita and hopefully if the president has time speak to him as well.

    Thank you again.

    Justin
