Ah I am glad to have read this thread. I was wondering about naginata kote. I plan (funds-willing) to pick up some basic kendo bogu soon and was thinking of selling the kote that came with the set for a reasonable price to someone within our dojo. Providing that I could find out if naginata kote were fairly useable in kendo.
So that answers my question
