    Legends of the Samurai

Has anyone read Legends of the Samurai by Hiroaki Sato? It's been sitting at the used bookshop next to where I work for ages. Care to share thoughts or criticisms?

It's difficult to parse through the massive amount of mysticized, embellished or downright fictional martial arts literature available to the western audience. Any help is appreciated!

Cold? Of course it's cold! The important thing is to feel!

Like monks on pilgrimage... their hands and faces are dirty, but their hearts are pure.

I read that book and enjoyed it. It was informative as well as a refreshing change to read (albeit in translation) a book on samurai written by a Japanese person.
