Hiki do clarification

Why won't the Senpans count hiki do?

For most people they don't do it right, as simple as that. A proper hiki-do should be scored.

Gotta disagree with this. I've never been hit when I retreat far and fast. I get zinged when I'm sluggish. The only person I've seen chasing people down after a hiki technique is well me. It's usually a Homer Simpson "why you little!!!" momment that needs some kind of retaliation. Scares the crap out of the high school kids

I actually do the same thing, but maybe without the Homer Simpson moment. Most people don't expect anyone to chase after them after hiki-waza so I try to take advantage of that rushing in after they attempt hiki-waza and a lot of the time it catches them off guard and, at least at tournaments, causes them to slip into a more defensive mode.
