    For most people they don't do it right, as simple as that. A proper hiki-do should be scored.
    I remember some guy asking Liang Baiping what the philosphy of Taiji was. Baiping looked at him and said, "The philosophy of Taiji is to crash through to their center and kill them".

    I actually do the same thing, but maybe without the Homer Simpson moment. Most people don't expect anyone to chase after them after hiki-waza so I try to take advantage of that rushing in after they attempt hiki-waza and a lot of the time it catches them off guard and, at least at tournaments, causes them to slip into a more defensive mode.
