    Agreed! Also a lot of people have their shinai with the zuru pointing upwards when hitting do which means you want to cut with the side of your blade :P its one of the pointers our shimpan really look after with do-moves lately

    I did say NEXT TO impossible. But to prove a point, thats a grand total of hiki dou number 2 that I have scored since starting kendo!

    But seriously, at times the judging for dou of most sorts is crazily inconsistent. Kote can score on the knuckles, men on the mengane, but unless the dou would be good enough to slice God in half, a great deal of the time the shinpan won't give it a second thought.
