    thought and instinct

should we write about kendo or just do kendo? somehow writing involves too much thinking, and thinking (somehow) gets in the way of doing.

while sparring, if i think of my next action, my body reacts to my thought slowly and so the action is delivered awkwardly.

what im doing is writing and im writng my thoughts. is the motto "think fast" the goal of kendo spars?

ever think about why you act or react the way you do in a fight? is it the other guy making you act or react, or is it you who is in control of your and your opponents move?

altho kendo is a sport tht requires being active and using movements, its also an art, which is always more complex than anyone can see straight away, the theory of kendo is just as important as the practice of kendo, thts wat my sensei told me anyway

By chance, are you a psychologist or psych student? If not, maybe you should read up on some of the modern personality theories by Skinner, Bandura, and/or Allport. They will tell you ALL about reflexes.
Student: "Sensei, do you think my form has improved at all?"
Sensei: "Wait, let me take off my glasses. There, now it looks better."

skinner, bandura, allport. browsed them on the internet. i wonder if
kendo-science is a genre. im kinda interested in the scientific analyses of zen.

most of the fundamentals of behavorism can be understood through the constant fight situations in kendo spars.

i realized and am making concrete manipulative techniques which i intend to use in my next spar. i hope i do well as a i imagine.

Thinking and writing about kendo is a good thing, there are a lot of principles one should understand. Off course you shouldn't write during kendo, but I think you figured that out already .
