    Kanji and Katakana

Sorry, but since most of the issues I have read here regard the tare name and such using Kanji or Katakana, I have seen alot of it. I was just wondering where everyone downloads the text to type it down.

    Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=177561

For Windows 98 you need to install IME

IME is strictly speaking a Japanese input system.
I am fairly sure that Japanese language support (for reading) comes with it so installing it should help you accomplish your goals.
You will also be able to write in Japanese.
