    Thumbs up Good book

I just loaned a book from the local library for some reference.

its called "The hheart of Kendo" by...Darrell Max Craig

Its got a lot on history and the development of Kendoa s well as his own experiences with his sensei. It also has a section on equipment maintenence and basic stances and techniques. Although I am just a newbie and know i know next to nothing...i found it very informative and even helped me make more sense of thetraining session i saw the other night..i can even recognize a couple of techniques now....there called "waza" aren't they??

well yeah good read if anyone interested.

yeah i haven't even started kendo yet but already i have picked up the basic stance and how to grip the shinai properly...well ithink ive got it right.

I just found it very informative for a newbie and also from a historical perspective.

Still can't quite belive they used to train with no armour and REAl swords!...ahh...the mess after a training session.
