In the wake of the swine flu scare, we have postponed the use of our kendo-pig 'Lil Babe', and hung up his mengane that we use for men strike practice for the children.

We will make you Lil Babe.

Thank you for all the genuine advice that was offered. While we decided not to make a big deal about it, the experience of SARs has given us some sensitivity to things like this. I myself lived a block away from the hostpital that started the whole thing in Toronto and had numerous medical practitioners in my family dealing with it, so anything of this nature is no laughing matter. Our main concern was the many children practicing in our dojo, but things seem to have blown over. Again, for all that offered real advice, my thanks.

It's official. It's now the first pandemic in the past 41 years.

    just one thing to do:
if you are infected --> 10 days aprox of ANTIVIRALS
if you are too close to an infected guy --> 5 days of ANTIVIRALS.

    that's it!

As long as we remain hygienic, and go see the doctor once we have any symptoms, all should be fine!

Panicking is the worse that can happen from this episode...

Hmm... back in my home country, that's the advice.

No wonder we haven't seen any drops in cases!

You're probably a few thousand times more likely to die driving to your dojo than you are to get swine flu at it or anywhere else.
