All credit to Taro Ariga and auskendotwit for keeping us informed via twitter. Note for Italy though to look into finding some way to stream this event on the internet. It's not like there isn't the technology available, it probably was even at Glasgow! Although it would have been prohibitively expensive. Hopefully the CIK will be on the ball and be well versed with all the social media/networking available and what is developed over the next 3 years to make more of a world spectacle [although hopefully I'll be there to watch, and tweet!

it's probably too late now, but if anyone on site has a smartphone with a video camera, you can use Qik to live stream video from your phone to the internets. Check it out at http://qik.com/ but check your data rates. Don't want a several thousand dollar phone bill.

Regarding Ariga Senseis last comment about "Lets see how the Yangs will fight", anyone know what he means by this? Is there a back story?
