I gotta say his Kiai sounds strange but this wouldn't happen to be one of the guys who started a western swordsmanship school where students learn the "600 year old style" based on no historical sources but the sword itself? The name is kinda familiar and I could be wrong but their website is down so I can't check.

In any case I'm embarassed for my country...


(On a side note I love the ninja turtles movies and agree that pointing a live blade at a student no matter what your level of experience is dangerous. But I've also heard of Obata sensei rolling around with two (?) shinken so it's not the craziest thing I've heard of him doing)

Mr Foster was under contract to do and say what fight sience wanted, people that no nothing about show biz should keep there mouth closed!
Obata was never asked to cut the body because he didn't have the show biz look Mr Foster has. Coming from a person that was on the set and involved in the fight science production i can say your all talking shit!
Mr Foster is a martial artist, not like most of you on these silly web pages. Mr Foster would never talk down to anybody or say anyone is a bad person or martial artist. However i agree there are crap martial artist around but Mr Foster is not one of them. Mr foster competed for Australian as much as 6 times travelled the world to help his country and has given his time to the poor to help them. Mr Foster was told he needed to keep his top off to show all the working body parts as he punched and kicked. That was the point of the show "about the body" anybody that try's to cut Mr Foster down about this body is just a fat person that dreams to have the body of a healthy athlete, or your a twiggy man with a poor un trained body.
