And man I wish my opponent would attack and then stand still for a couple of seconds so I could think about what to do.

They can but they don't gain any experience points.

They do. Their dao forms in particular are held in high regard. As to the video itself. Yes, the techniques are poorly executed however the ideology is still sound, you defeat an opponent by using the advantages of your weapon, not by fighting their fight. A jian will kill you just as dead as a katana will
