    Ooooo... You poor thing! Doesn't sound like fun. You ought to have a sempai look at how you are gripping the shinai to see if a change in how you hold and strike with it will help lessen getting blisters.

    If you do tape it, put something thin but soft under the tape on the blister itself so the tape won't stick and pull at it when you take the tape off. Make sure the tape will stay in place though. It may take you a couple tries to get it the way you want.
