Seme, from notes.

I asked a RokuDan sensei that feels that every jigeiko or Match will have many parts of the various Kendo kata in them about this video about attack/ invite seme. And he told me it's about changing the various aspects of seme depending on the person you are fighting. He was explaining to me that there are some that you can just slightly step forward and they will react like many lower belts. and he said there are some that you will need to change the duration of the seme. he knows I study Jodan so he cited Chiba sensei as using a lot of invite by stepping forward and holding the posture/seme before he attacks....such as in this video which he reccomended that i study heavily after watching Kata every day.

It's been discussed here before. But you know that feeling like some old sensei is reading your mind and knows what you will do before you do? Pulling.

I know what one visiting sensei did. The first guy went up and tried his kote and got hit by kote-nuki-men. The next guy says, I'm not falling for that and same thing happened. Pretty much everyone went for his kote and got hit by his kote-nuki-men. Yes, I hear you Neil.

Thank you. ^_^ the funny thing is I didn't fully understand it until i tried it. It made landing the Katate Kote & Debanna Men(from Jodan & Chudan) more effective.
