Mr Smith has worded my thoughts exactly. I find this very eery that he can read my mind when he's at the other end of the world.............

I just prefer to be able to read what is posted. Usually that means black. Colors sometimes make that hard. Especially when morons write in the lightest yellow that the color palette lets you pick. It doesn't happen here, but I really don't like having to highlight text with the mouse so it changes the color just to be able to read peoples' thoughts.

I write with a blue biro pen in my daily life so I do similarly here and it makes it easier for me to see where my posts are and if someone has quoted me so I need to reply. I agree the greens, reds etc are difficult to read but the this blue is fine isn't it? Also the Disability Centre here where I work suggest that writing in black makes it harder for many people with dyslexia to read (the large amount of contrast appears to be the problem) and suggest softer colours like blue on white or cream on black are 'best practice'.

I don't care how much you wish to justify what you do. I still consider it on a par with my puppy at home barking and grabbing at my feet to try and get someone to pay attention to him. I've not seen anything in any of your posts that merit that sort of attention, so I think I'll simply ignore you from now on.

Black or blue dont bother me as was pointed out, they are both colors that normal pens come in, I think other colors would eventually get a little old. I am ore upset that half the world cant spell "color" correctly..... "colour" correctly........ ah whatever.

Also if anyone knows where i can get a gold sequined hakama please post it up. it would really help me look sharp when doing my new style............Liberace Ryu

I just find the different colours distracting and annoying. Kokoro77 is writing in a different colour for his convenience. If we all applied the same logic, there would be several thousand colour variations here. Wait, am I the chartreuse or the teal?

    You are obviously Teal Gendzwill.

I think Kokoro777's argument is not a good one for his posts to be blue, but much more persuasive for all posts on the forum to be in blue. That said, I'm not going to ignore him.

    Ok, Kokoro-san,

I have a severe vision impairment, so I guess I am as good as qualified to discuss this issue with you.

First of all, there are a lot of "I" statements in your post. This makes others think you are only thinking about what you want in this instance.

You may like to write in blue since you say it helps you, but this is a PUBLIC FORUM and not private writing on paper for your own use. It is not right to force your particular wants upon others who are having trouble reading the blue font you are using. Having a disability does NOT give you the right to annoy others with the colored font.

Now... I need to use large print to read and write posts on this forum. Does THAT give me a right to enlarge all my fonts in my posts just so I can see what I am reading and writing?? No. So, what I do, is enlarge the fonts on the website itself to a decent size for me using my browser's viewing aid, and then, when I am replying to a post, if the font is still too small to read what I am writing, I enlarge it in the reply window itself and then when I am done, I RE-SET the font back to the normal size for everyone else, since I am a MINORITY. I can enlarge the forum itself as much as I want in order to read it, so posting what I wrote in large print is NOT necessary.

Now, if there was no such thing as being able to do that, then yes, I think I could ask for a way to be able to read posts, since it is a right for everyone to be able to read something and not be excluded because of bad vision. But that's a special issue, not having to do with a simple reading disability where you are NOT excluded from being able to read something at all, because you can't see well enough to do so. All I can say, is thank goodness for the accessibility software I can use. Makes my life a heck of a lot easier! I don't have to embarrass myself by asking.

Now then... You need to leave the fonts in black please. You can easily find your posts by going to your profile and clicking on "find posts." There is no excuse why you can't do that. And, lots of people have trouble sometimes finding a reply to their post if a lot of others have already responded after yours. It isn't just you.

I can't see very well, but, I don't need special attention so I can find MY posts or other people's replies. You must learn to deal with it. Maybe you think it is too hard to bother to just look for them, but that is a part of daily life... Learning to deal with your issues. Certain things yes, you'd need accommodation for, like say, at work or if you are in school and have to worry about learning things properly or performing well at work. But on a forum? No. It's a public place, not a school or work.

Sorry... I don't like it when people try to use a disability to get their way.

    Kaoru
