I have seen the second video before and I'm actually somewhat interested in trying this. There is a guy on the aikido seminar circuit who throws people while standing on some casters without the casters being pushed backwards. I would be curious to see how much of my swing or power inputted into my opponent pushes me backwards.
I remember some guy asking Liang Baiping what the philosphy of Taiji was. Baiping looked at him and said, "The philosophy of Taiji is to crash through to their center and kill them".

When the archer does not think about the target. he may unfold the art of archery.
When the kendoka does not think about the datotsu-bu he may unfold the art of kendo.
Kendo is like fencing but not stupid!

So I guess one of them is not wearing skates...?

Looks like a fun time! Someone should recommend this to the Colorado peoples come winter time ... and ... yanno... the first half of spring time.
