    dojo in S Korea

    Hi,

I am moving to S Korea and I was hoping someone could help me find a legit IKF approved dojo, as I am still learning hangul and cannot read the KKA website very well.

I tried to look in the sticky post about links to IKF dojos but it wouldn't work on my computer for some reason. The link just brought up a blank page.

I am thinking about moving to a city called Gwang yang. I have also looked into a very small town called Changnyeong.

If anyone here knows of a dojo, or perhaps could go to this website and help me find one, http://www.kumdo.org/

    I would be most appreciative.

    Thank you!

Also, I am a girl. I don't know if that makes a difference in Korea in regard to whether or not I could attend certain dojos.

Thinking about, or moving to? Very small towns might not have (daehan) kumdo dojang (they also might... it depends).

For Gwangyang, which is in Jeonnam province, http://www.ky-kumdo.com/, is one dojang, and this site is the regional organization's site, and will allow you to search out dojang by name, instructor, or town. Be sure to check for the KKA logo. All affiliated dojos are very proud to show it off on their sites, and you'll know it's IKF affiliated.

Being a girl won't be an issue. If you have rank, bring proof of it, of course.

    thanks!

Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate your advice on looking for the logo, as well as the website. It will be very helpful!

I am definitely going, but I am not sure of where I'll be going yet. I'm looking into a few places right now.
