Snowboard in North Carolina ??

It has been a while since I have snowboard at Lake Tahoe. I miss snowboarding and me and my friend family ( 7 total) planning to visit North Carolina in winter time. Anyone can recommend which ski resort is better? Wolf Ridge Ski or Sugar Mountain ? How about hotel or lodge ? Any suggestion ???

You are traveling to North Carolina to ride? Or you're there for some other reason and hoping to get some time in on the slopes?

I am there to ride board.... I have never been NC to ride snowboard.

Probably the best spot in NC is Cataloochee Ski Area.

What on earth motivates you to travel to North Carolina to snowboard? That's like taking a vacation to New Jersey to surf. Sure you could do it but why?

The 740' of vertical is actually better than I expected but still, this is a teeny place to for a ski destination.

Neil, I'll certainly agree that going to NC mountains for skiing or snowboarding isn't the best option out there but I am assuming Rainmaker has some reason for going there as opposed somewhere farther north or out west. It's the closest spot to Florida.

Let's put it this way. Please allow me introduce myself. Believe it or not I am a Canadian living in Florida. I was sooooo tired of snow, my wish was to move to warmer place. So, I ended up in Florida.. My Lord granted my wish so well, I haven't seen any snow for 7 year.. My 11 years old son doesn't remember anything about snow... My family friend and I want to travel during winter time by car to nearest ski resort. Which is 11 hours driving distance from FL to NC. We will stop at Atlanta where we can shop and dine some good Korean food and then drive to NC to ride snowboard. I thought about going to Sugar Mountain since it seems like it has to most slopes... But I heard Wolf Ridge is pretty good too... I don't expect NC to be same as California or Vancouver... But we just miss snow...
