Thanks for the replies. I was worried as i regulairly hear from people they got a new zekken, other info on it and such. If I understood it correct one of my dojo mates had about 20 zekken.
An anime/manga addicted kohai once wanted to put "The Destroyer" on his zekken. He apparently thinks fielding a mudansha team starring the likes of "The Destroyer", "The Shadow", "The Lover", "Thor" and "Justice" would be a great idea.
Fortunately nobody else bought the pseudo-power ranger squad idea...
I have wanted to make Top Gun zekken for a very long time.
The Top Gun logo at the top, nickname in katakana in the middle, and romaji at the bottom.

Well what is keeping you? You can always have it made and keep it as your trophy. Sounds like a cool gift to yourself when you pass your next exam:-)
We have someone in our club with the Zekken saying "Scott Pilgrim" though it was a novelty Zekken used for fundraising last year- I think I bought like 200 dollars? :P
Unfortunately he NEVER gets to use it.
Do you wrap your tare straps around the zekken when you put your bogu away? I've seen one sensei wrap them around the side flaps instead of the middle flap. might help some.
I put my tare around my doh with the zekken to the inside.
