anyone know what happened to Kenji Shodai?

I cannot find anything about him past 2 years... He is my favorite kendoka along with Teramoto, Miyazaki, and Eiga. I can find plenty of Teramoto but none by Shodai.

I seem to remember he had had an achilles injury and did not qualify for the all japan last year. I think he is in thid year though
