    This rarely happens in Yorkshire
sorry, I cant believe this at all. It NEVER happens in Yorkshire. EVER. The only fight you see in bars there is the one over who gets to stand farthest away from the cash register....

They will have to pry the sword from my cold dead fingers....
Why are you reading this instead of being out training???? Excuses not accepted....

Back on topic, it would appear to me that the only defense for an iaido attack would be to either get in close, or outside his striking distance. Inside, blocking the drawing arm and using some kind of judo throw would work? My 2 cents...

In training I get beaten by kaso tekki regularly, but I try not to let it happen in public.

An attempted cut or stab with the sword, or a strike with the kashira.
Presumably from the draw, if it is in an 'iai' context.

An iaido attack grants you +5 damage and +5 dexterity, but costs you -5 in defense.

Historically speaking I believe it would involve dressing up as a woman, seducing and then killing the man who killed your father while his guard is down.
