SCIA Iaido Seminar, February 10-12, 2012 in California, USA

The Southern California Iaido Association (SCIA) is pleased to host an iaido seminar on February 10-12, 2012 featuring guest instructor, Katsuo Oda sensei (hanshi 8 dan iaido, kyoshi 7 dan kendo) from Shizuoka prefecture, Japan, and the ZNKR.

The seminar will focus on ZenKenRen iai (ZNKR seitei iaido) and is open to all iaidoka familiar with these kata.

A shinsa is now being offered on Sunday, February 12, 2012 for those eligible for kyu ranks or 1 dan.

All shinsa applicants must provide the following to me on or before Sunday, February 12, 2012:

1) Completed and signed application form
2) Copy of menjo stating current rank
3) Written test answer(s), if applicable
4) Shinsa fee of $50.00 (check payable to ‘Southern California Iaido Association’; all shinsa fees collected will be forwarded to the AUSKF)
5) Menjo fee (see below; check payable to ‘All United States Kendo Federation’)

Menjo Fee Schedule:

All kyu (17 years old or younger): $10
All kyu (18 years old or older): $20
1 dan: $30

Menjo fees will be returned to those shinsa candidates who do not pass their shinsa.
