Right. Now ask yourself if you'd wear that suit to the gym five days a week.

Surely if someone is going to get that one, they are either not going to wear it 5 days a week, or have enough money where it doesn't matter if they do.

I am going to buy the emudo one, personally. Simply because I think it's cool and those $250 were just going to go on imported beer anyway,

not really relevant, but my two favourite pieces of kendo equipment are all from the same store (Chiba Budogu), the Do cost me about 300 USD a couple months back, and the Men cost me about 10 USD.

Apparently, it's the year of the "Black" Dragon. Which is supposed to be special.

It is special for those turning 60 years old after the 26th of this month (i.e., born between January 27, 1952 and February 13, 1953). This is the Water Dragon year, which last occurred 60 years ago. Wiki: "Water is the fifth of the five stages of Wu Xing (and) is associated with the Winter, the North, the planet Mercury, the color black, cold weather, night..." So, come January 23, the year of the Water (Black) Dragon returns, which makes it special to me because I won't be around to complete another sexagenary cycle.
