Easy access to East Midlands and Birmingham airports.

    Shropshire would be good.

Please note that the Northern seminar is not yet confirmed with regard to dates - these are nominal dates only.

Secondly, I can think of several places which have airports and good rail and road links that are pretty central to the UK; here goes

Darlington, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Derby, Middlesbrough, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol

And ones at least equivalent to Stevanage with regard to links (train and road),

York, Stoke, Sheffield, Wakefield, Preston, etc

To be fair Stevenage is okay as a venue. There are prettier places one could host an event (York or Chester might top such a list) but it is also about getting a good sized venue at the right time for the right price. On behalf of the BKA I looked at York but the Uni Gym (which is huge and pretty cheap) is fully booked during August. I have never been to Chester...hmm how about Chester? Be a good place for visiting Japanes Sensei to visit what with all its historic buildings and much smaller than York so easier to get round. Wales is nearby with its fine castles. Liverpool is also pretty near.

    just a thought.
