Anyone able to tell me how much different yako kote is from regular kote? kendoshop.com has 3mm yako kote priced for significantly less than 3mm regular kote so i was wondering if the yako is really that much more inferior?
(BTW i did do a search and nothing came up.)

Hi folks... sorry for the long MIA status.... anyway... regarding the yako kote... its priced lower because its easier to produce... and in my opinion .. its better... because around the area of ur hands which is below ur knuckles and on the top of ur thumb... its stitched with fabric.. not the normal hard leather.. so its easier to season... and last longer.. much longer... of course it people were to hit the kote... it might be a little more painful.. but hey... at least ur wallet won't hurt..
