    I believe it's going to be at the Univ. of Nevada, weekend of July 21-22.

    Would that be UNLV or UNR?

    Thanks,

    Unofficial Rumor has it that the event will be at UNLV as follows;

    Fri, July 20, approx. 5pm-8pm: 1 Basketball court for Godo-keiko
    Sat, July 21, all day (end about 6pm): ALL BB courts
    Sun, July 22, all day (end about 5pm): ALL BB courts

    My guess is that the only seminar day will be Saturday, maybe something Sunday morning followed by testing.

    What are usually the requirements to attend the AUSKF camp? Eg, do you need to be a certain grade? Or do you need to be part of the federation to attend?

    There's no minimum rank requirement to attend and I'm pretty sure you don't have to be a member of AUSKF (though maybe you'll hae to sign a release form when you get there). But keep in mind that the AUSKF summer camp will generally be a godo-geiko on Friday evening, seminar on Saturday and kodansha exam on Sunday, so a good chunk of people who attend are there to test for 5 dan and above. Doesn't mean you won't get anything out of it, but depending on where you're traveling from, you might want to think about what kind of "bang for the buck" you'll be getting.

    I want to attend this summer camp. Is there any registration for this summer camp or should I just go there and deposit the money directly?

    You have to register first, but the registration details have yet to be released. Keep an eye on this forum, and of course the AUSKF website. Your dojo leader should be getting a heads up as well.

    Yesterday at the AUSKF Board of Directors meeting the final details for the summer camp were settled.
    The original plan turned out to have several items that were not really going to work. The official announcement and applications should be out this week. One item the testing is expanded to include ikkyu - 4 Dan. Two examination boards are planned, 1K-3D and 4D and up (subject to change, could end up 1k-4D, 5D-7D). A program to encourage more 7 Dan kyoshi to attend was also added to the plan. Dates and location remain the same as rumored above.
