Just got stuck on a body. I've seen that happen before. I shinai is a terrible thing to waste. I'm sure the nito practitioners can advise him about cutting it down to make a baby shinai ;-)

Seen it happen several times before... it's happened to me before, too.
I've seen a shinai 'blow out' like a Snuffy Smith rifle on a check to the tsuki, too... that was pretty impressive.

Incidentally, I'm sure maybe someone said something to the guy (in the video) whose shinai broke..
When you come back to the line with a broken shinai and you're bowing out to get a new shinai, don't just turn your back and walk out of the court...

So after you broke your shinai, you have to flash your broken shinai to the camera for Kendoworld forum ????
