    Help with kendo terms

    Dear all
I have a copy of the Official Guide for Kendo Instruction which includes a glossary of terms in chapter 11. Can anyone direct me to a listening resource which will help me pronounce the words accurately. *

    Thank you

    Colin

On the chance you have an Iphone, you can download an application call translate, it will read back japanese.

Pronouncing Japanese written in romaji (roman characters) is not too bad as the sounds are fairly consistent. ie "te" is always pronounced in more or less the same way regardless of where it is in the word. Just google up "pronouncing romaji" and you can find a number of guides. You won't have a native accent by any stretch but you will be understandable so long as you follow the simple rules and do not pronounce the word like it reads in English. eg you pronounce the "e" in "te" even if it is at the end of a word.
