How do they determine who gets to enter? I was wondering about the numbers in the third column, is that the number of times they have entered the tournament before? Oh, and #29... it that taidai Kanzaki sensei by any chance?

It's an invitational tournament, so there is bound to be a committee that selects the competitors based on some criteria they determine. AFAIK the only known one is that they have to be 65 or less. The number in the third column is the number of times they have participated.
