    Zanshin after do in Nito.

Was looking through the vids on http://www.kenshinkai.com.au/nito/nito.htm and noticed something weird.
Is his zanshin is correct after the hiki-do ? His daito hand is totally stretched out to the side and it seemed rather peculiar. Could someone with the knowledge (Neil or Moocow) clarify ?

Hmm.. well I really don't know anything about nito. I just apply seigan principles to nito and just hope it's the correct way. Soooooo as for that hiki-do.... I think it's incorrect. If I were to do hiki-do like that using seigan, I would never get the ippon in the US; however, I've seen Japanese college students do that same kind of hiki-do using seigan and getting ippon. But, the do strike is meant to cut the body in half, not to hit it and recoil. So what I would do personally for a hiki-do is to hit the do and keep the shinai there, then I would pull the shinai back to the center of my do, just like how it would be if i were in seigan, and then do my little suriashi backwards. The reason why I pull back my shinai is to reflect that cutting-the-body-in-half action. Pulling the shinai back to the seigan kamae to me would be the best way to do zanshin cause the shinai and body are both in the center. I don't know if this is the correct way or if the website is correct. That's just how I would do it.
