    one hand cuts

    Hi everybody !
    I was wondering about the use of one hand cuts in kendo
    can anybody enlighten me on the subject ?

    These are called katate waza, I think. I remember they are threads about it on this forum. I can't help you more :/.

    I notice that there is no mention in the other thread about katate-tsuki. This is a very important katate cut. It is also difficult given the small size of the target.

    If you are going to perform tsuki against jodan - a one handed tsuki is likely to be more successful than a two handed tsuki.
