kenjutsu to kendo

I was just wondering if there was any one kenjutsu ryu that contributed most to the kata and techniques of modern kendo? If any knows about this ryu any extra information would be welcome.

Itto ryu. ..

"Itto Ryu" isn't one specific ryuha, at least not anymore. There's Ono-ha Itto Ryu, Nakanishi-ha Itto Ryu, Mizoguchi-ha Itto Ryu, Kogen Itto Ryu, Hokushin Itto Ryu, Itto Shoden Muto Ryu, and probably others, still extant today. While they all share common ancestry to some extant, they can be quite different.

According to William Bodiford in a post in this thread over at e-budo, modern shinai waza stems mostly from Chiba Shusaku of Hokushin Itto Ryu.

Hi! In the post by William Bodiford, he cites this book by Junzo Sasamori:

in 1965 he wrote *Ittoryu gokui* (Ultimate Secrets of Ittoryu) in which he presented a detailed (albeit "official") account of Ittoryu history and teachings. This is a book that anyone interested in Japanese swordsmanship should own. It was reprinted in 1986.

Does anyone know where one can find this book, and also if it was translated into English? My searches typically bring up only Sasamori's book with Warner ("This is Kendo").

I´m sorry I really should´ve made what I meant more clear. I already knew That itto-ryu was very influential on modern kendo, but like Kent said I don´t think its one ryu anymore and I was wondering which of its offspring was most influentialon modern shiai technique. I think my question has been answered now but I just wanted to apologize for my being unclear.
