    Tenouchi in Jodan

Performing katate strikes from Jodan e.g. Katate Men, who exactly do you use tenouchi?
I can hardly imagine it to be the same as in chudan wringing the shinai :-)
Is it just to drew the wrist to the left stabilizing the cut? This is just a radial movement, but what about stretching the wrist foward?
I hope you understand me description ;-)

I think your onto the right idea, for a jodan men because the right hand is not attached at the point of impact, it’s possible to tilt your wrist a little further forward. Maybe this could be considered tenouchi?

Ulf where did you get this quote from?
“Both positions (hidari and migi-jodan) are taken with a feeling of looking down on the opponent with a spirit resembling a raging fire.”

    Hi Kirby,
I`ve got that quote since a long time, but I`m sorry I can`t remember where exactly I got it from. But I think it was somewhere online, maybe even in a thread in this forum.

I've used that quote a few times here, which I found on a collection of kendo 'quotes' on the net..don't have the url handy.
