Next tuesday will be my first practise with my Mine bogu.

I'm really excited to try it out, I haven't had any practise now for 5 or 6 weeks due to the summer vacations so the lighter mine bogu will help me out alot.

I'll keep you posted how it went, or how it didn't:P

Practise last night went great, this bogu gives me so much more freedom it's almost like i'm without compaired to what I was practising with.

The kote are so light I feel like I can be just a little faster like it's giving me that little edge and I was able to breath and go for it each jigeiko. I was really suprised how much the do was doing for me, I can breath properly during practise now which means I can keep on going.

Some other neat thing I think that happend last night is that my sensei was the first one to hit the bogu and I don't know if it was a twist of faith but there is this yondan sempai and he had to strike do during jigeiko with him. I went for men uchi so that was a perfect chance, I even received a tsuki from him:P

I'm so looking forward to my next practise, this bogu makes me enjoy kendo even more then I already did so from this point I really would like to thank Chiba for all the care they put into it.

Kanyil, could you give further feedback on your all clarino mine kote now after using them some 8 months. I'd appreciate your opinions since I'm considering to purchase those myself too (and also mine men). Especially I'm interested in how the clarino material ages.

I have been using the micropunched Clarino palms on the Mine kote for almost a year now. Other than the normal indigo stains, there is little wear. I can not detect any places where the Clarino is stretching out or getting thinner. Nor can I find evidence of any holes (aside from the ones that were made by whoever micro-punched the Clarino). The Clarino is just as soft and comfortable as when I first got it.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with the micro-punched Clarino kote from Chiba Bogu.

I ordered a zekken from chibabogu and when it came time to confirm my order, the webpage showed my text for both lines of zekken to be random numbers and characters. I cut and pasted the kanji I need from my email to their webpage order form. The Kanji characters were represented correctly when I cut and pasted them into the initial order form, but not when I had to confirm the order.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Did you follow the instruction in the special note regarding entering the personalization message?

"NOTE:When Personalizing your bogu with Japanese characters, please remember to set your browser's Text Encoding to Shift_JIS otherwise it will not display properly in your order."

Send Mr. Komoto an email about your desired layout; or recommended layout by the zekken maker. In the order form note correspondation about your zekken.
I am about to order my zekken from chibabogu and with my last name - Nowakowski - I needed all the help I could get so emails went back & forth.
Mr. Komoto was very kind and helpfull about correct pronounciation etc and told me to just write down in the orderform that we had spoken about this via email.

Komoto-san will be in Taipei for the WKC for your info so he might not be able to reply straight away.

I've been lurking here for a while, but as I have a chance to go to Japan and Korea sometime in late spring, I was wondering if anybody has actually gone into the store? My current Men just doesn't fit right and I've had to fill it with the big men protector from ebogu and I'm pretty adamant that my next set I'm going to have the bogu makers measure me up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is light blue which I think is a subtle but fresh accent.

    Clarino?

Anyone has photos of the clarino one that they like to share that has seen some use?

I wonder how it would look as according to the website, it is synthetically dyed, and thus won't fade...so the color compared to the cloth parts could potentially look weird.

Also, did anyone get the economy cloth version?
