    My own photo journal

...for those who are interested in seeing some kendo-related photojournal (and also some bits of naginata), I updated my old WKC pic site:-

    http://www.geocities.com/wkc12pic/

    Enjoy

p.s. is it taking too long to load? I try to keep all the pic under 30k each.

    Bug attack!!!

I always like colour kendo photos as opposed to black and white.

    Which looks better?

    This?

    Or this

But nice photos. When I went to Japan my host farther and some of the people at the Dojyo took some photos of me. It is surprising how it looks so light at the time but darker in the photos. I am sure that they were darker in Japan than when I saw them in the UK lol.

There is no bug... just that too many of you trying to load the page at the same time, "exceeding the data transfer limit". The site should be back up in an hour, so try again later... that's what you get when I didn't pay for their webspace...

B&W isn't too bad... the Uni Taikai series should be better. Depends on the lighting and quality of the scan (as my scanner is half-broken!), because those are not digital prints. I developed those at Ilford's lab (and they are surprisingly crap) I have to re-adjust the contrast/brightness one by one...

    John- New Zealand

Bart- "Dad I gave up playing the guitar because it was too hard- I hope your not mad."

Homer- "Son, son if something is too hard to do then it's not worth doing. Just put the guitar in the cupboard along with your short wave radio and karate oufit and we'll go inside and watch TV."

    Bart- "What's on?"

    Homer- "It doesn't matter."

    Thumbs up

From pictures of that demo I've seen before, I'm pretty sure the high grade in Jodan is Holt Sensei.

How are things running at Brighton Uni Kendo?

Was just looking at the Lidstone pictures and noted that the guy who won the tournament also got fighting spirit. I've never heard of that before, usually the fighting spirit award goes to someone in the best 8, never to a top 4 finisher. Is this normal in UK competition?

No, usually to a top8 - (4), but never seen it given to a winner (before now, anyway).
