Eiji Yoshikawa's Taiko

I've been looking forward to buying this book for awhile now, but I've been curious on the historical accuracy of it as opposed to Yoshikawa's other masterpiece, Musashi(which I've read, it's great). I have heard that it's a little hazy on some of the facts of Hideyoshi, and his mental illness later in his life isn't discussed at all, is this true?

Any and all comments would be well appreciated.

i've read Taiko twice now and i think (dare i say it) i enjoyed this book even more then i enjoyed Musashi it is true that Hideyoshi's mental illness is not discused well i hope i dont spoil the book but it stops right before he is given the tittle Taiko. i dont belive i spoiled it.....if i did for you i am REALLY SORRY...but this should not stop you from reading the book it is fantastic
