    changing dojos

i think i am changing dojos soon to another one because of high prices and i have a few questions about it. First I already paid for my bogu but do I have to buy another one, if i am changing dogos because it has my old dogos name prionted on it? And are they going to let me continue where I left off as a beginner and not start all over again?

Why would you need new bogu?

If I had to buy new bogu everytime I moved...

But you would need a new zekken/nafuda (the name tag bag you slip on the tare).

In the meanwhile, some people just continue to wear the old nametag until the new ones arrive. If it is a traditional one with the dojo name only on the top, some people fold it down much like rolling up a sleeve.

You should probably ask your new instructor on that one.
