the japanese and koreans

I was wondering if the Japanese and Koreans know why they hate each other anymore. I was talking to a japanese friend of mine and she said she couldnt stand the koreans and when i asked her why she said because she was just racist towards them and was raised that way. do they know why they dont like each other. i would asume it is cause japan took over korea a couple of times but not sure

Im korean.....one of my best friends was japanese. I studied TKD, but I really think highly of Kendo. I guess if your raised up racist that can't be helped, but this brood war has been on forever it seems.

Actually things have been going well, especially with the joint world cup in 2002. But recent events have really rattled the korean public like the false historical data in japanese text books with korean japanese relations and the sudden implication that an island that has been considered korean land for ages is now being challenged.

What do i think of this? Well, it makes me angry, how could I not be with korean blood in me. But would I be racist becuase of that? No.....not unlike someone in this forum who dislikes Koreans (or his father does) for unknown reasons.

Korean and Japan have what I call 'foolish pride' in that they can take national honor and pride too seriously. I think to a point where people fight for no reason. Have pride people, but don't be so eager to get riled over anything.

Yes, we have covered whole history dated back from year 600.. We have also discussed about not only Korea and Japan but also Canada, France, Australia, Singapore, India, Spain, Vetnam, Malaysia and many others....

Unless, someone want to starts WWIII again..

I'm Japanese...unless all Koreans are out to get every single Japanese person and hang them, I personally have no thing against them as a whole. Its absurd to hate an entire race of people...that is unless you've met every single person from that race and chatted with them. Personally, I find all the hate that's being concentrated around Japan, Korea, and China disgusting and useless.

huh, so she actually admits that she just hates them becxause she was raised to be rascist?
weird, I know some rascists, but even though they were clearly raised like that as well, they'll never admit it, they'll just make up any crazy argument to justify their hate. (as unlogical it may be)

It seriously just doesn't make sense to me...unless you were actually there doing some shady stuff. Gahh. It's just so frustrating when I think about it. So much time is wasted on hating people you don't even know. People who could be your best friend for all you know. Hate's being wasted...it should be used on more important things...like...guys who wear socks with sandals...EWWWW (yeah that's a joke...).

I'm Chinese and well... if I'm practicing Kendo, learned Karate, learned Japanese for 2.5 years, amazed by Japanese cultures, I don't know about you. I can tell you not all Chinese hates Japanese, not all Koreans hate Japanese. Andou is so darn right, why waste your time hating some people you don't even know and some stuff happened before you weren't even born yet?! You got better things to do and worry about... such as sleeping and playing video games, or do more suburi

By the way, I should bring up the movie "Crash" if you folks haven't seen it, great movie towards the topic of racism and sort of stuff we're talking here. It is beautifully done!
